Floral Interlude – the spaces in between.
As a narrative painter, my work is often detailed or intricate. In this new series I am able to indulge my love of flowers and textiles and the similarities between floral shapes and draped fabric or costume. Working on a larger scale I am able to explore form and colour, the many shapes and shadows, contours and highlights.
